People who already have dual citizenship and two passports can choose which nationality want to submit the passport to enter in New Zealand. The bigger difference is when using a passport from a country that is not in the list of countries exempted from prior approval for Tourist visa (see level by country ). If the passport is an Australian passport because of mutual agreements it is allowed many to visit , live and work wihout a visa. All other countries are subject to the same rules with very few differences. New Zealand allows their citizen possesses another nationality without losing any of them without problems.
